More than 50 employees of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority were trained by TÜV HELLAS (TÜV NORD) through a series of seminars on topics related to Quality Management Systems as Internal and Chief Inspectors.
As part of the training of the Civil Aviation Authority’s executives, four seminars were held in the ISO 9001:2015 International Standard with the subject “Chief Inspector of Quality Management Systems, IRCA/ CQI Approved” lasting 40 hours each. In addition, four more seminars were held in the same audience on the subject of “Technical Inspections of Quality Management Systems” lasting 16 hours each.
Upon completion of the seminars, the relevant IRCA Certificates (International Register of Certificated Auditors) and Attendance Certificates were awarded to the Civil Aviation Authority officials who participated in the training. The award took place at a special event at the Authority’s premises at the Athens International Airport, in the presence of the Governor Mr. Christos Tsitouras, and the executives of TÜV HELLAS (TÜV NORD) Mr. Vasiliki Kalambokidou Vice-President System Certification and Mr. Kondylias Kontogianni Training & Corporate Communication Manager.
The implementation of these seminars is part of the wider lifelong learning and training program of the Civil Aviation Authority. In this way, the officers of the Authority follow all the modern developments and stay informed about everything that concerns their academic and professional subject.
Mr. Christos Tsitouras, Commander of HCAA, stated that:
“The Civil Aviation Authority aims to continuously improve and develop the level of training of its personnel, through trainings of high added value, so that the certification and continuous supervision of the country’s aviation operators leads to the highest possible level of aviation safety. We thank TÜV HELLAS and its executives, who provided the staff of HCAA with a series of excellently organized training seminars, which will contribute to the best possible execution of the demanding tasks, deriving from national, European and international legislation and defining the role of the Authority ».
