On 8-2-2023, the Secretary General of Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Ioannis Xifaras visited the new offices of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority in building 45 of Athens International Airport. The Secretary General was briefed in detail by the AIA Commander. Dr. Christos Tsitouras on the progress of the Authority’s work, the launch of digitization actions in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Governance and the Information Society, the cooperation with the HCAA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on issues of national interest, international contacts and the development of inspections.
The Secretary General toured the new office premises, referred to the actions of the MoI that assist the work of the APA as well as to the general developments in the country’s air transport sector and the initiatives of the MoI for modernization, new technologies and consolidation of the country’s excellent performance in the air navigation sector that exceeded the corresponding European performance during the 2022 summer season, making a full recovery compared to the pandemic period.
The meeting was attended by members of the staff of the Secretary General, members of the Executive Council, Directors General and Advisors to the Governor of the HCAA.
