At the 160th Meeting of Civil Air Commanders of member countries
ECAC member states, held in Paris, France.
Greece was represented by the Commander Dr. Christos Tsitouras and the Head of the General Directorate of Financial Supervision APA, Kalliope Lykou. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was represented at the meeting by Ambassador Mrs. M. Saranti, Permanent Representative of Greece to ICAO.
The meeting discussed important issues concerning both the future planning of civil aviation strategies in Europe and issues related to the ICAO.
The meeting was opened by the Secretary General of ICAO, J. C. Salazar, who stressed the importance of the supervisory and regulatory actions of the Civil Aviation Authorities as we enter an era of technological and energy revolutions, rapidly placing the environment and sustainability at the heart of every policy.
