The evergreen and ever prudent
Socrates Kokkalis
aims to take the group off the ground
Intracom Holdings,
by officially entering the aviation sector. It cannot be a coincidence that this year Intracom Aviation was founded. Intracom Aviation is 51% owned by Intracom Ventures and 49% by Intracom Defence. The object of activity for the newly established company is the repair of airplanes and helicopters. As the group stated in the announcement of the company’s formation at the end of February
Intracom Aviation
“has as its main purpose the provision of services for the modification, repair, maintenance and conversion of aeroplanes, helicopters and aircraft in general, the provision of aviation application services of all kinds, and participation in tenders of any nature for the purpose of undertaking the above projects”. This investment is of interest not only because aviation has never been an area in which Intracom Holdings has been active, but also because it is likely to be related to the activities of
Intracom Defence
for which there is a binding agreement to sell 90,1 % to Israel Aerospace Industries.
