ITA Airways warmly welcomed its leading partners in the Greek market during an event held in the presence of Ms. Carla Catuogno, Regional Manager Europe, Ms. Anna Xenaki, Country Manager Greece & Malta and the ITA Airways Greece team.
During the evening, the guests were informed about the latest news and services of ITA Airways.
ITA Airways during the summer will increase the number of daily connections from Athens to Rome Fiumicino and back, ensuring convenient connections to destinations in its network.
This summer the Company will operate seasonal direct flights from Corfu, Rhodes and Heraklion to Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate and from Kefalonia to Rome Fiumicino.
The expansion to long-haul flights is one of the main pillars of ITA Airways’ strategy. During the summer the Company will launch new routes in the United States, with direct flights from Rome Fiumicino to Washington DC from 02 June 2023 five times a week, and from 01 August 2023 the flight will be daily and from Rome Fiumicino to San Francisco from 01 July 2023 three times a week and from 02 August 2023 five times a week.
In addition, the Company is strengthening its offer of direct connections between Rome and New York. From 1 June 2023 it is adding an additional flight from Rome Fiumicino to New York JFK return, bringing to 3 the daily frequencies connecting the Italian capital with John Fitzgerald Kennedy International Airport.
ITA Airways is also expanding into South America as from August 2023 it will add 4 weekly flights to its daily connections between Rome Fiumicino and São Paulo. Thanks to these new flights, the airline will increase its flights to 11 weekly return flights between Rome and São Paulo. With the launch at the end of October of a direct flight between Rio de Janeiro and Rome Fiumicino, which will operate daily, the total number of flights between Brazil and Italy will rise to 18.
All the new destinations ensure convenient connections to and from Athens.
