ITA Airways gave a reception at the Italian Embassy for its Partners in Athens, in the presence of Her Excellency the Ambassador of Italy Mrs. Patrizia Falcinelli, the Diplomatic Staff of the Italian Embassy and the Greek Team of ITA Airways, was held by the Italian airline company. The guests enjoyed a wonderful evening with Italian flavors tasting the dishes prepared by an Italian Chef, accompanied by Italian music.
ITA Airways operates 13 direct weekly flights from Athens to Rome Fiumicino during the winter season, ensuring comfortable connections to its network destinations, while in the peak season of the upcoming summer season 2023 it will operate direct flights from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate to Rhodes, Heraklion, Corfu, and from Rome Fiumicino to Kefalonia.
The Company continues to expand its intercontinental network: in the winter season it will serve a total of 51 destinations, of which 9 intercontinental, 22 international and 20 domestic Italian and will focus mainly on the expansion of long-haul flights, with several important new routes, including Tokyo-Haneda and New Delhi which started recently and Male, Maldives which will be inaugurated on 17 December. All of these new intercontinental routes are in addition to the flights to New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo that began earlier this year.
