With impressive aircraft demonstrations and a tour of its technical base for the students from near-border regions of Greece, AEGEAN participated again this year in the great celebration of the Air Force, supporting for another year the work of the General Staff of the Air Force.
AEGEAN’s experienced pilots flew in formation with an F-16 and a Rafale performing impressive maneuvers, during the air show, which took place on Saturday 5 November in the area of Flisvos in Paleo Faliro, while a little earlier an ATR‑72 aircraft of OLYMPIC AIR flew in formation with a C-130.
It is noted that 100 lucky people were on board the AEGEAN A320neo aircraft that participated in the air show, who, as part of the action “Let’s fly together at the Aviation Festival!” implemented by AEGEAN had the opportunity to live the unique experience of flying next to fighter jets.
On the same day, AEGEAN gave the opportunity to high school students from critical areas of Evros prefecture, mountainous Rethymnon and Kastelorizos to tour its technical base at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, watch aircraft maintenance work by AEGEAN engineers and talk to engineers, pilots and company executives, about the requirements, challenges, but also the prospects of the professions of the aviation industry as a whole.
It should be noted that especially for the participation of the children from Kastelorizo in the Air Force events, AEGEAN offered a special, chartered flight through its subsidiary OLYMPIC AIR, as it is the only airline connecting the island with the rest of Greece.
