Hellenic Seaplanes emerged as the winner of the tender process conducted by the Municipal Port Fund of Kalamata and thus undertakes the construction, operation and management of the Kalamata watercourse.
According to a announcement , “the implementation of the Kalamata watercourse is the result of the joint persistence and vision of both the municipal and port authorities of the city. The effort to create a watercourse had started during the mayorship of Mr. Nikas, the current Regional Governor of Peloponnese and was continued by the current mayor Mr. Vasilopoulos as well as the administration and staff of the Municipal Port Fund of Kalamata and Mr. Antonopoulos (President D.L. T) who believed in the vision and dynamics of seaplanes, but also the prospects that the watercourse will bring to the southern Peloponnese”.
With the finalization of the agreement for the takeover of the watercourse, Hellenic Seaplanes will immediately start “running” the procedures concerning the technical file for the issuance of its operating license while at the same time it will proceed with the construction of the land and water facilities in the port.
