AEGEAN announced key financial and organic results for the third quarter and nine months of 2022, recording strong performance.
The recovery in demand combined with the expansion of the network and the growth of the company’s fleet with the delivery of new aircraft, contributed to the significant recovery of passenger traffic in the third quarter of 2022, with the Group carrying 4.6 million passengers.
Occupancy formation at 84%, up 14 points compared to the corresponding period in 2021, and higher average fare levels contributed to significant profitability despite rising fuel costs and a significant strengthening of the dollar against the euro.
Third quarter consolidated Turnover was €571.4m, up 71%, Profit before Tax was €152.1m showing an increase of 158% on a comparable basis, while Profit after Tax was €120 .8 million.
The performance of the third quarter both in terms of turnover and profitability is higher than the corresponding pre-crisis levels with the capacity offered at marginally lower levels.
In total, in the nine months AEGEAN exceeded €1 billion. in consolidated Turnover, showing an increase of 109% compared to 2021, with passenger traffic recording an increase of 89%.
