Continuing the successful Pilot Scholarship Program launched by AEGEAN in 2018, with the first 49 out of a total of 100 candidates already in its cockpits and the next 40 expected to join the company’s workforce at the beginning of the year, it again offers the opportunity to 120 young men and women in total, for the next 3 years, to obtain a professional degree in civil aviation and start their careers, as future captains of aircraft of the fleet of AEGEAN and Olympic Air.
The new cycle of the AEGEAN Pilot Scholarship Program for the first 40 applicants which is just starting, is addressed to Greek and Cypriot nationals and provides for theoretical and flight training in aircraft and flight simulators exclusively at Global Aviation schools, based in Athens, and Egnatia Aviation, based in Kavala. The studies are full-time with a duration of 17 to 19 months and a start date of 1 April 2023.
With this initiative, the total value of which exceeds 7 million euros, AEGEAN seeks to help young men and women who dream of becoming pilots, to make their dream come true by covering most of the tuition costs required. An extremely important support, taking into account the fact that the total cost of studies for each future pilot, including training in the type of aircraft, exceeds 90,000 euros.
The submission of applications together with the posting of the curriculum vitae is done exclusively online through the AEGEAN website in the special form that has been posted, with a submission deadline of February 12, 2023.
At the next stage of the selection process, candidates will be invited to a skills test (“Compass” Pilot Aptitude Test), an oral interview and a medical evaluation by an air force medical center.
Upon completion of the evaluation process carried out by a committee formed by AEGEAN with the cooperating Schools, the final selection of the scholarship recipients will be made.
