Hot air balloon flight. For some a lifelong dream, for those who have lived it a unique and unrepeatable experience.
A taste of this unique trip with a view of Lake Ylikis and Boeotia from above was taken by the deputy governor P.E. Boeotia, Mr. Fani Papathoma, the Mayor of Thebes, Mr. Giorgos Anastasiou, and the president of the Chamber of Boeotia, Mr. Panagiotis Agniadis, “traveling together” in the Boeotian ethers with a hot air balloon.
The test flight took place during the press conference presenting the Hot Air Balloon Festival, a unique festival with hot air balloons, which will take place October 5-9 at Thebes Aeroclub (Perneris Airport).
A Hot Air Balloon Festival that combines all the advantages of the Municipality of Thebes – natural environment, culture and history – could be a strong attraction for visitors, not only from Thebes and Boeotia, but also the wider region, due to its easy accessibility. Original events such as a hot air balloon spectacle contribute to the promotion and tourist promotion of the Municipality of Thebes and Boeotia in general, constituting an alternative entertainment proposal for young and old.
The Hot Air Balloon Festival is organized by Explore DMC, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism, the Region of Central Greece, the Municipality of Thebes, the Chamber of Boeotia and the Aeroclub of Thebes.
