The adventure experienced by passengers on a flight from Paris to Heraklion, Crete, had a happy ending. The aircraft made an emergency landing at Athens International Airport as smoke appeared in the cockpit. The landing took place smoothly, without even requiring the intervention of the fire brigade and without, of course, any injuries to the passengers or the crew.
While in the air, the Air France plane, which had taken off from Charles de Gaulle airport, showed smoke in the cockpit. He had to make an emergency landing in Athens and at the airport “El. Venizelos” which was done with absolute safety at 18:10.
The plane landed and taxied normally, while the intervention of the fire brigade was not required. The company’s decision on how passengers will reach their destination is awaited.
