Four minutes before 10 am, Emirates’ flight EK209, which was heading to New York from Athens and was diverted to Athens again, for security reasons, has landed safety at Athens International Airport. The flight was diverted after CIA warned of a suspect of terrorism who could be onboard, along with 228 passengers.
Emirates’ Boeing 777, was accompanied by two Hellenic Air Force F-16 fighter jets and was flying solely above sea for security reasons. Greek Counterterrorism police is now searching the aircraft for the suspect.
