With the confirmation of the death of the pilot of the ΗΑΦ F4 Phantom that crashed in Andravida, Captain Efstathios Tsitlakidis, 31 years old, the epilogue of the accident with the crash of the fighter aircraft of the Air Force was written. This was preceded on Monday at noon by an announcement of the CAA, which also announced the death of Lieutenant (I) Marios – Michael Touroutsika, 29 years old.
The search operation for Efstathios Tsitlakidis was supported by three helicopters, watercraft, men of the Air Force Special Forces, and an underwater drone capable of searching at a depth of up to 100 meters.
The focus is now turning to the causes and circumstances of the accident that led to the death of the two pilots, plunging their families and the country itself into mourning.
